1. What is Practicle?

Practicle is a Danish-developed ITSM and management system that brings together support, CMDB, documentation, change management, password management, and project management in one platform.

2. Who can use Practicle?

All types of organizations – from sole proprietors to municipalities and IT departments – can use Practicle. The system is flexible and scalable.

3. Do I need to be a technical expert to use Practicle?

No. Practicle is designed with a focus on usability. Technicians, managers, and non-technical users can all use the system effectively.

4. What does Practicle cost?

We offer a free version for local installation. The Cloud/SaaS version costs DKK 190/month for up to 5 users. For 10 users, it costs DKK 380/month.

5. Can Practicle be installed locally?

Yes. Practicle can be installed on-premises on your own servers. Installation instructions are available on the download page.

6. How do I log in to Practicle?

You log in with a username and password. Two-factor authentication can be enabled. LDAP is also supported.

7. How do permissions and roles work?

Access is controlled via user groups which can be assigned roles. Users can be assigned to groups and roles. You can control access down to module and field level.

8. What is the licensing model?

The free version is available without charge. For cloud/SaaS use, you pay per 5 users. See current prices and plans on our pricing page.

9. Is Practicle suitable for IT documentation and CMDB?

Yes. With the documentation module, you can create searchable articles for yourself, everyone, or only your team. You can also register equipment, relationships, software, contracts, etc., and link them to an article. Everything includes logging, history, and relevant filters.

10. Is Practicle GDPR compliant?

It has not yet been officially validated – but the system logs events and changes, supports group and role-based access, and is hosted in Denmark.

11. How do I get support?

If you have a support agreement, you can contact us by email or directly through the system.

12. Can Practicle integrate with other systems?

Yes. Practicle has a REST API and supports integration with AD and Slack.

13. Can Practicle be customized?

Yes, the system is modular and supports custom fields, workflows, and integrations.

14. How is Practicle updated?

For SaaS, updates are automatic. For self-hosting, you need to follow our update guide.

15. How secure is Practicle and where is data stored?

With self-hosting, you naturally choose your own location, and we recommend restricting access to your internal network. With SaaS, Practicle is hosted in a Danish data center with encryption and backup.
